Playing Craps with Confidence
You will never feel intimidated again at the craps table by considering the following pointers in playing craps. You will now be able to feel very confident in playing craps in the midst of expert craps players and be able to also feel the excitement that any craps player feels during the game.
- The Pass Line and Six or Eight bets are the two main bets that you need to get familiar with to begin your journey in playing craps. They are easy to learn and possibly have the lowest house edge of less than 1.5%.
- Don't give in to the offers of the dealer regarding the proposition bets. These bets have a very high house edge of 16%, and are considered as the "house bets".
- If the craps table minimum is too high for your bankroll, then find the craps table that suits your gambling budget.
- Once you have understood how the Odds bet works, then when making the Pass Line or Come bets, always back up those bets with their full Odds bet.
- Dealers are there at the craps table to help you out even in answering your questions. Since craps is a fast-paced casino game, don't slow down the game because of your many questions.
- It is the main responsibility of the craps players to pick up their winnings from the craps table. If you don't pick up your craps winnings on time, then it will be considered as your bet on the next roll of the shooter.
- Dealers are never allowed to accept any cash or casino chips from craps players in a direct way. You must place your money on the craps table layout and request for a "change only" from the dealer. This must be done before the dice are handed down to the shooter.
- There may be some bets that you can't reach by hand when placing your bets. Simply request the dealer to place those bets on the craps table layout on your behalf.
- Make sure that when the dice are rolled, keep your hands off the craps table that they will not hinder the path of the rolling dice. Altering the craps dice as they are being rolled is not a good thing to do during the game.
- If it is your turn to be the shooter, do your best to give the dice a very good roll across the craps table. Sliding the dice across the craps table is not allowed and if you do it on purposely, there is some punishment that you need to face.
Even if you are a new craps player, you can still have that confidence just like the experts have through these pointers in playing craps.
